Stash Bashing for Charity!

I am about to start a big, giant project: a wedding dress. Yards and yards and yards of fabric. Once I cut into the good fabric, it will be all consuming. Fun, but a total attention hog!!

Sooooooooo before I lose site of all things not bridal, I decided to do a little charity sewing.

There are several charities you can sew for. A million pillowcases; Just one Star; Little Dresses for Africa. Just google sewing for charity and bunch of stuff will pop up!

My friend and blog buddy, Karen, is having a crafting chicks day at her church, Branches. They are making pillowcases for a local home for boys. I can't be there because I live, ooooooh, 8 hours away so I spent that 8 hours sewing 6 pillowcases for her event. I didn't spend any money either. It seams my sewing closet over floweth with fabric. Lots and LOTS of kid friendly motifs and flannels that I bought becasue I was so SURE I could use it and it WAS on sale! LOL

My kids have out grown a lot of what I have......okay almost ALL of what I have stashed in my pit of a sewing closet. But it won't go to waste!! I gave myself a goal to use up my flannel and kid yardage sewing for others!! Wooo and hooo this opportunity popped up and I tore my closet up looking for stuff.

My bounty is charity's bounty!!!  How can you bash your stash for charity????
