There are two new little bundles of joy entering my family's circle of friends. A little boy named Max and a little girl named Miranda. Here are the quilties I will be working on.
For Max, a more traditional style of baby quilt because his parents are more traditional.
A charm pack of baby prints, mostly retro, with a light blue polkadot binding and some Debbie Mumm cammo for the back. I like the cammo. lol
Quiltee number two is for my daughter's drama and ap english teacher. He and his wife are sooooo not traditional! It's a scarppy black and white number with a hot pink border, some odd black and silver and pink binding with a little, baby girl backing of pink daisies...that print makes me smile!
A close up of the border and binding....I like it!!!
Next on the agenda is a commission for 8, that's right, EIGHT aprons. Delivery date: 15 days.
5 men's chef style and 3 ladies'...Regena style!! Fabric is washing as I type!! Well, the black is, the rest of my fabric shipped yesterday so next weekend I will be an apron making machine!!
Also, there are several Women's Suffrage Centennial activities coming up to mark the passage of equality for women in the great state of California......October 10, 1911.(the US would ratify the 19th amendment in 1920) I really need an outfit to go to a few of these events....something very Beatrix Potter and a big ol' hat!!!
Yeah Chicks!!!!!! Go make your mark on the world!!!
Lots of projects to keep you out of trouble! (yeah right). I can't wait to see the black and white quilt finished. I LOVE the colors!
