oh my gosh!!! Are you kidding me? I LOVE IT! How exactly did you do it? I have an ugly metal filing cabinet in my otherwise cute craft room and it needs this! Was it hard to do? Come on...share.....
not that hard. I have made some mistakes I won't make on the other drawers, that's fer sure. I didn't use enough product to adhere the paper and I didn't get all the air bubbles out so on the sealer coats, it bubbles a little. i still need to secure the edges better becasue i didn't roll them over. it's easy...apply mod podge (I used 'hard' for outdoor, apply paper or fabric. let dry, add a few coats and yer good to go. this is scrab book paper from michael's 5 for a buck Whole project will cost less then 10 bucks fro a desk and 3 drawer file cabinet. Unless i paint the file cabinet, then a few more bucks for spray paint/
when it's not quite dry yet, you can poke the bubbles with a pin or sharp Exacto knife and flatten them out. add a little 'podge to the hole/slit to stick it back down :)
Thanks Ratty, good to know. I think I let the mod podge get to dry because I put it down too thin. but then, the paper does bubbly things once it gets wet, ya know. Thank goodness the paper has a distressed look about it so my little folds and crinkles don't show too much. LOL
