I did it and it's Ratty's fault!

I bought a travel sewing machine. It's a Janome AQS 2009. ( jem platinum 720 with different lettering lol)
She had the cutest, quietest little Jem Gold 660 and I've been coveting it since July. I went one step up because of the type of sewing I do and becasue the machine is now retired and well under $300.00 bucks on sale.
I can hardly wait to get it and pppplllllaaaayyyyyyyy. It only comes with three feet so now I have to save up for a quilting package for it. Anybody want to buy a featherweight?? I guess I don't need two......do I?

  6. I have an elna serger. That thing has been fab!
    I haven't gotten a new machine in , let me see........aahhhhh...... 12 years! Guess I was due!
I've heard nothing but good about the Jems and have read nothing but good about the Jems. Everyone I've seen in person is the mechanical one, the gold series 660 but this is just the next step up, the 720 becasue I do more garment construction than quilting and wanting a little more stitch fine tuning,

  7. I have my moms 20 year old Singer Touch and Sew and last year I bought a used Bernina QE. I love my bernina. it's a dream. I've sewn on my aunts Phaff and I liked it too but my bernina more ;). Serger..may ask for that for Christmas from my hubs. Lady at the fair tried to see me a babylock but was way outta my price range...have fun with Jem
