Busy....fun busy!! And a blog question at the bottom.

Lost of good stuff happening at my end. It keeps me from playing on social media, but that's okay, it means I am out there livin'.

A little bag for the bride and groom.

Did some pattern matching on my binding.
It's not really going to get noticed since it will be narrow, but I know it matches and that's all that matters. LOL

A pretty little pattern from #studiomme

A little treat bag for the grand for Valentine's Day.
Loves me some #sweetwaterfabric and patterns.

A little Napa wedding. My baby girl is now a Mrs.

A baby quilt for some new grandparents.

Gratuitous granddot shot

My hair is finally long enough to french braid,
now I want to cut it all off again.

Finished this little gem for #studiomme
My first time being a test stitcher. I hope I did her proud.

A dress for my DIL. She has a photography business and
wants flowy, one-of-kind dresses for her shoots.
Draping isn't something I am good at, but new skills are always welcomed.

Tons more happening that didn't make this post.
New house, first time dealing with snow, tearing down walls, arguing over what to do, typical couple junk. hahahahaha

I'm trying to get back into blogging but instagram is so quick and easy that I just literally phone it. Snap, a couple of lines, post.

What kinds of things would you like to see on this blog?
More tutorials? Sewing, personal?
I think I want it to be more focused instead of haphazard.
Let me know!!

Happy living!!

Project Sweetwater Volume II

Sweetwater Fabric  has a new thing. Project boxes. It is replacing their monthly label crew. Looks like these will be a quarterly thing, but this is only box number 2, so who knows.

This one uses 'Mama Said Sew Volume II'. Love this color palette.

Here's a peek and what you get, plus the link above will give you more info.

First glance. There is laffy taffy in that little baggy.
It comes with MORE than enough fabric for the 6 projects (color patterns on card stock included), the trims and little extras too. No batting, but we all have scraps of that stuff layin' around, am I right?

I completed 3 of the projects.

Project number 4 is all cut out and ready to go.
It's teeny. It's tiny.
It's going to be a 16.5 x 16.5 spool quilt.

I wasn't kidding when I said teeny, tiny.

Lily was not helpful.

I already pre-ordered the next one.Project sweetwater solids. So far I love everything in this box and the sneak peek from the next one looks fab.

If you love little projects and a little gift giving (or keeping lol), this is a win win of a buy.

Now to sew those micro squares together. Wish me luck!!

"Sammy" Time

Been working on a little table runner with Lucy's Crab Shack fabric.....I like it!

It's a good size, this is a full size bed and it goes almost all the way across.
It's laying on the backing fabric.....all names.

Got a few other things in progress too.....the baby boy quilt is still slowly being hand quilted and a book review for embroidery. So far, the patterns that come with it are worth the price of the pdf....even without all the other stuff.

Button Down Your Stuff

A couple of months ago I got the cutest little set of fabric buttons made from Reunion fabric by sweetwater. I HAD to have the buttons. A-dor-a ble! Their label Crew project that month was a pattern for three cute little pouches/bags.I finally got around to making a little bag.
It's 5.5" x 5.5".....
Perfect for: small camera
                  cords and chargers
                   pair of glasses
2/3 of a nook e-reader (yes, it fit...super tightly, but it did fit)
                   snacks
                   receipts/coupons/other small paper goods
a couple of rolled up undies
                   etc.......

Well, you get the idea. Now for the pics...................

Look, I even paid attention to the directional fabric!! So proud.

EEekkk. I should probably top stitch that, huh?

A size comparison incase 5.5 x 5.5 makes no sense in your brain. I always like a good visual.

I've really been enjoying small, quick, easily finished projects lately. They make me feel accomplished, especailly while I am in the middle of longer, more involved projects.
A nice little pick-me-up, if you will.

Do you like to take a small break from a big project and finish a little something too?
OOOorrrrr, are you a one project kinda person?
Nosy Nellie's  Inquiring minds want to know.......

I've got the buttons!

And they are huge-mongous and awesome!!

I actually thought they were going to be more quarter sized even though the measurements were quite clearly listed. LOL
Okay people, they also have some red ones and some orange ones and I want a package of each, if you see them somewhere.... LET....ME....KNOW.....pretty please with crafty goodness on top. I have a project in mind for them. They are also in brown.

My plans for a few of these babies: total cuteness, I know.

Button, button, who's got the button?

I finally managed to get a hold of a few of these. I still want some orange and red and I can live without the brown, blue, enh. They are big too........ 1 3/8" big!!!
I will be saving a couple for my very own button box and using the rest on some little easter giftees and maybe some baby girlie goodness in the not so distant future.
Don'tcha just hate it when you discover something awesome only to find out it's been in circulation awhile and it just isn't being made anymore? I know I sure do!

Happy hunting!
