Sleep deprived---not the good kind

Has anyone every had this happen?
You had a day you'd prefer to forget; you stay up a little later than normal trying to get past what ever it was you needed to get past ( in my case, teenager: female); you can not wait to close the day with a little reading, a little snuggle, some nice, soft sheets, and a blissful night's sleep.
But wait!!!!  Why am I having trouble keeping asleep and comfortable?? Why can't I move?
I feel trapped......aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I sat up with a start.....I really was trapped......WTFrench Toast???????
In the middle of the night, in the middle of my bed.....we are talking dead center....there is a big ol' hole in my "good" sheets. That's right, the 400 thread count, uber soft ones. The ones that cost far too much and are only two years old!!! Not the Walmart sheets, nooooooooooooooooo, but the ''good'' ones.
How do you get a hole in a spot where your body rarely goes??
How does your leg go through it in the middle of the night?
How do I get untrapped?
How can I get back to sleep with all this adrenaline coursing through my veins?
Where do I go to get another unber soft, just the right shade of pale, golden, sun-kissed off-white?
How am I going to fall asleep wondering if  my leg will go through the sheet again???
Why does stuff like this happen to me??
Keep tuning in while I go on the hunt for the perfect set of sheets.............Mervyn's is no more, so I can't get what I really, truly want: brushed twill. They used to carry this shabby chic line of bed linens.......
Guess I'll try JCP or Target......Happy Day After Mother's Day to me!!

  1. Bummer! Maybe you should consider trimming your toe nails? I get my wonderful sheets at Marshalls. I can get 80 - 100 dollar sheet sets for around 40 bucks. Do you have Marshalls up there?

  2. yep......toenils?? Girl!!
I keep them really short and I just had a pedi....it's just bizarre!!
They looked perfectly fine when I put them on the bed last week (today is sheet day, yes, I am that anal)so I am going to go and hunt down another set. the ones I have sound like a paper bag.......soft, but crunchy sounding. I hate the noise. I want to hear a soft rustle, not crunchy, crackly sounds. LOL
